C.C. Pedersen Of Humboldt Died Sat. Morn at Home Here

Funeral services for C.C. Pedersen of Humboldt were held
Monday afternoon, June 28, at the local Baptist church,
the Rev. A Peterson officiating. Burial was in Union cemetery,
with Hopley-Lindhart in charge.
Surviving him are his wife, who was born Christina Pedersen,
and five children, Mrs. Soren Pedersen of Belmond,; Mrs. John Madsen
of Arnold; Harvey of Almont; Leslie of Denison; and H.J. of Des Moines.
There are eleven grandcildren. One great great-grandchild preceded
him in death.
Mr. Pedersen died at his home here Saturday morning. He had been
in failing health for a number of years, but until three weeks ago had
been able to be up and around. He was seventy-three years, one month
and twenty-two days old.
He was born in Sheland, Denmark, May 2, 1864, and came to Independence,
Iowa, at the age of nineteen. When twenty-three, on March 9 he married
Christina Pederson.
In 1912 the family moved to Humboldt, and has lived near Arnold or Humboldt
since then. Mr.Pedersen was a storekeeper in Arnold for a number of years.
(Arnold was a very small town in northcentral Humboldt County. It started as
a stage coach/post office - became a town about 1900 - church, creamery,
businesses, railroad depot, grain elevator. The old elevator was burned down
a year or two ago; there is nothing left to show the location of Arnold.)

Chresten blev gift med Maren Kirstine Petersen, datter af Peter Jensen og Ane Marie Hansen, den 9 Mar. 1888 i Pine Creek Baptist Church.
