VIVIAN M. ERICKSON HUMBOLDT

Vivian M. Erickson, 93, of Humboldt passed away July 29, 2007 at the Humboldt
Care Center North. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday at the Oak Hill Baptist
Church in Humboldt with the Rev. Richard Lauger officiating. She will be laid to rest
in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 Thursday evening at the Mason-Lindhart
Funeral Home in Humboldt.

Mrs. Erickson is survived by her sons; Francis jr. of Omaha, NE, John of Humboldt,
and Bruce of Park City, Utah; grandchildren, Robert Erickson, David John Erickson,
Patty Anderson, Paula Rowinski, Barbara Anderson, and Stephanie Erickson; and
5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis;
daughter Mary Ellen; sister Vera Thorn; and grandson Michael Erickson.

Vivian May Madsen, the daughter of John and Mary (Peterson) Madsen was born
April 30, 1914 at Denison, IA. She attended grade school in Humboldt and later
graduated from Denison High School. After high school she was united in marriage
to Francis Erickson and began work as a housewife. Mr. Erickson passed away in 1958
and Vivian took up training to become a teacher. Mrs. Erickson taught kindergarten
in Rutland, IA and Dunnell, MN before teaching in LuVerne where she taught kindergarten
until her retirement in the late 70?s. In her retirement, Vivian enjoyed traveling, making
hand-made teddy bears, spending time with her family. She was an active member of
the Oak Hill Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving as a pianist.
